The bristles are the part nobody checks
Most brushes sold as bamboo have a bamboo handle and nylon bristles. Nylon is plastic, it sits against your gums twice a day, and it is the part that sheds.
Ziroo's bristles are natural horse hair. The handle is a single piece of Moso bamboo. There is no nylon anywhere in the brush, which is why it can be called plastic-free without a footnote.

Looking after it
Rinse and shake it out after brushing, then stand it upright so the head dries. Bamboo lasts as long as you keep it out of standing water. Replace the brush every three months; when you do, the handle composts.
How many to buy
Four brushes is one person for a year. Eight covers two people. Both cost less per brush than buying one at a time, and both arrive in a single parcel.
